Potion making

This is a lot of fun. I raided the kitchen cupboards for anything Button could mix. We had lemon juice, lime juice, vinegar, flour, baking powder, water, dry herbs and others bits. I then gave Button lots of different containers and bottles to help her with her hand eye co-ordination and strength (squeezing). She also had different types of spoons, ladles, a garlic press and her test tubes. She enjoyed mixing and pouring and the different textures, she loved how the lemon juice and vinegar reacted with the baking powder. I would do this again as she really got lost in her playing making potions. She has also continued to make potions most days in the bath (just water, bubbles and old baby bath/shampoo bottles) and often talks about collecting petals to make soups and potions.
